Appraiser and Assessor Careers (Real Estate)

Appraisers and assessors of real estate need to set values on property. Appraisers have independent clients and work on one property at a time, while assessors usually work on entire neighborhoods for tax purposes in accordance with local governments. Both jobs involve determining fair values for property in given locations, the details of which are included in formal written reports.
