International Business Degrees

  • Associate’s: Usually a two year degree program, an associate’s in international business will cover a general study of business principles, macroeconomics, trade and other international business-related fields of study. Students will be prepared to enter the job market with any number of entry-level careers, with the possibility of promotion as experience increases. Graduates of the associate degree program also have the option of enrolling in a bachelor’s level program, if further education is desired. Foreign language training is also a required portion of most international business degree programs.
  • Bachelor’s: This degree program will prepare students for entry into a variety of career fields. It will provide training in areas such as business, economics and multiple foreign languages. Graduates of the bachelor’s degree program will come away with an understanding of how a business functions within a global market, as well as the shifting business models which attempt to benefit from the globalization of commerce.
  • Master’s: Graduate’s of a master’s degree program in international business will be prepared to begin a career at a managerial level.   • PhD: This highest level of education will provide graduates with expert knowledge in a particular field of international business. Graduates of this degree program will either enter the international business world at an executive position, or seek employment at a college or university as a professor. PhD’s in international business are also important sources of research, for which companies will pay top dollar.
