Logistics and Supply Chain Management Degrees

There are several levels of degrees that each have their own unique qualities and open the door to several types of positions. Logistics and supply chain management degrees include:
- Associate’s – Obtained in two years, the associate’s degree provides students with the training needed to interact with vendors and suppliers in order to provide companies with supplies and services. The associate’s also gives the student an understanding as to how supplies get from the business to the customer.
- Bachelor’s – Earned in about four years, the bachelor’s degree introduces students to the world of business and logistics. Upon earning the bachelor’s, the student will be knowledgeable in overseeing the critical aspects of obtaining the goods and services critical to running a business. Students will gain skills needed to supervise purchasing, inventory control, manufacturing, and the retail aspect of business.
- Master’s – Obtained two years after the bachelor’s, the master’s degree is actually a business administration degree with a focus in logistics and supply management. The master’s is ideal for those wanting to pursue a managerial position in logistics. The student will learn techniques to improve supply chain management and skills in design and organizational management in modern supply chains.
