Enterprise Information Systems Degrees
A degree in enterprise information systems will provide high-level training in databases and networks. You will learn how databases are used in different types of companies, as well as how to build, utilize and maintain them. Large companies are in need of individuals with experience in VRDB (very large database) architecture, in order to allow the company to operate efficiently. Although this is typically a graduate concentration within a computer science degree, lower-level information systems degrees can be earned at the undergraduate level, and are an excellent introduction into information systems technology.
Enterprise information systems degrees include:
- Master’s: This program will prepare graduates to solve problems associated with large-scale data systems. Enterprise information systems degree programs also cover management principles, as graduates will likely supervise other personnel. The master’s degree program will qualify graduates for executive level positions, and is a concentration within a computer science degree program.
- Doctoral: Also a concentration within a computer science degree program, a doctoral study of enterprise information systems will cover similar material to the master’s program, with an emphasis on research. Graduates will be experts in the field of enterprise information systems, and have career options including research, professorship, corporate executive and many others.
