Internet/IT security degrees include:
- Associate’s: This two-year degree program will prepare graduates for entry-level careers in Internet security, computer forensics, network security or other cyber security-related fields. This is the perfect degree for someone who is curious about a career in Internet security, but not ready to commit to a four-year degree program. After completing the associate’s level degree, graduates may also enroll in a bachelor’s program, which is necessary for some higher-level Internet security positions.
- Bachelor’s: This four-year degree is the one most commonly held by Internet/IT security professionals. The degree offers access to employment in both the public and private sectors in many different industries. The bachelor’s program will provide students with an in-depth study of computer forensics, operating systems, code writing, firewalls and network security.
- Master’s: This high-level degree program is usually pursued after completion of a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
