- Associate’s: This degree will provide a broad overview of the film industry and the different segments within it. From learning grip and lighting work, to understanding the editing process, graduates of this degree program will come away with the knowledge they need to begin work in the film industry.
- Bachelor’s: The most common degree is a four-year program, which usually includes a broad study of the film industry with significant hands-on training. During these degree programs, students will be creating short films while studying the different jobs within the film industry. This degree usually offers a general college education due to the four-year format, and can therefore produce a more well-rounded graduate.
- Master’s: Students who pursue this level of education will undergo an in-depth study of film analysis and will be qualified to be employed within the film industry or as a teacher.
