Visual Art/Communication Degrees
A degree in visual art or communication will help hone your skills in art and design and teach you to apply them to a range of career options. Visual art/communication degrees include:
- Associate’s: This two-year program will provide graduates with technical training in art and design, as well as instruction on how they relate to communication or advertising. Possible careers include entry-level positions as graphic designers, Web designers, illustrators and the like.
- Bachelor’s: A two-year bachelor’s degree program will cover technical skills as well as an academic study of art and design. These curricula will cover art history, color theory and other classes that will provide a solid foundation for a career in visual art or communication.
- Master’s: Students who continue on to this degree program will study within a concentration such as graphic design or 3D modeling. After completing the program, graduates will be highly skilled artists or designers, and may begin working as mid- to upper-level employees at a design firm, advertising agency or other related business.
